Overview

ArcelorMittal Skopje is of one the largest steel product manufacturers in the Balkans offering Hot Rolled Coils & Sheets, Hot Rolled (P&O), Coil Rolled Coils & Sheets, HDG and PPGI Coils. 

Following its acquisition by ArcelorMittal in May 2004, ArcelorMittal Skopje redesigned its product offering to ensure a quick start of operations and to ensure optimal sweating of the available assets. For instance it offers Hot Rolled-Pickled & Oiled, which is generally in short supply in the market. It is planning to roll out HR-Skin Pass, which will further strengthen the product profile. It is also offering pre-painted coils for paneling, roofing and metallic structures. In addition, HDG, with anti-fluting treatment, has created a pull in the EU and in Balkans.

Headquartered in Skopje, the cold rolling complex consists of a pickling line, a 5-stand tandem mill, a Hot Dip Galvanizing line and a Pre-Painting Line. In addition the cold rolling mill comprises batch annealing furnaces and two temper mills. The Hot Rolling system comprises a reversible hot rolling mill and two reheating furnaces. The current capacity of the cold rolling mill and hot rolling mill is approximately 750,000 tpa and 800,000 tpa respectively. 

ArcelorMittal Skopje markets its products, primarily, in its Natural Markets namely-Balkans Region, EU-25 and in Turkey.

Quality

The Cold Rolling Mill is certified for ISO: 9001(Standard 2000). All Hot Rolled and Cold Rolled products are supplied as per the EN norms.
